MISTER SINISTER READING ORDER: Kingdom Sinistrus (1996-2015)

Mister Sinister puts the final pieces in place that will free him from the shadow of Apocalypse. Without the threat of En Sabah Nur's vengeance looming over him, what will he do next? His new plans have to factor in the depowering of the mutant population as Sinister builds his biggest army of Marauders yet in order to get his hands on the 'Mutant Messiah'!

The wheels within Mister Sinister's wheels are exposed when he faces the possibility of his own demise as the world of mutants continues to evolve around him in this, the second entry in a two-part reading order dedicated to one of the X-Men's most fascinating and menacing villains.

Mister Sinister meets Nate Grey, a clone of Scott Summers and Jean Grey created by the Sinister on Earth-295 and now stranded on Earth-616; Sinister fights his way past X-Force to claim Nate for himself; Sinister's hopes of using Nate Grey against both Apocalypse and Onslaught are dashed when Onslaught uses Franklin Richards' powers to pull Nate from Sinister's clutches through a hole in reality during ONSLAUGHT.

Cable '99 Annual (1999)
Mister Sinister recalls how he gave his loyalty to Apocalypse in exchange for power in the 1800s, then betrayed him in the early 20th century; having been avoiding Apocalypse ever since and even set in motion a series of events that led to the birth of Nathan Christopher Summers - a mutant powerful enough to kill Apocalypse; deciding the adult Nathan Summers - now the man called Cable - isn't as powerful as he'd hoped - Sinister looks form an alliance with him and increase his power in time for his coming battle with Apocalypse.
Gambit #9 (1999)
Gambit is sent on a mission to locate one of Mister Sinister's hideouts and obtain an item from him for Professor X; Gambit is forced to team up with Sabretooth to complete his mission and tricks Sinister into giving him the item in question during THE SHATTERING.

First appearance of the Neo (including Domina & Jaeger); Mister Sinister forms an alliance with the High Evolutionary and 'turn off' the powers of every mutant on Earth; the powerless X-Men find a way to defeat Sinister and regain their powers with the Evolutionary's help during MUTANTS NO MORE.

'Dr Windsor'
is revealed to be a disguised Mister Sinister as he continues to disrupt Malcolm Colcord's plans at Weapon X while gaining test samples from the remaining mutants; Sinister recalls some of his activities during World War II, including the creation of a clone of Namor the Sub-Mariner that was defeated by the Invaders; Chamber infiltrates Weapon X and immediately becomes suspicious of 'Dr Windsor'.

'Dr Windsor'
has become the head of Homo Superior Medical Care by the time Sabretooth is hired to track Mister Sinister down and kill him; instead, Sinister makes a deal with Sabretooth's employer, John Sublime.
X-Men: Colossus - Bloodline #1-5 (2005-2006)
As the 'Pale Man', Mister Sinister teams up with Mikhail Rasputin to kill the entire Rasputin bloodline, the descendants of Grigory Rasputin (based on the real-life Grigori Rasputin); Sinister hoped that Mikhail and his brother Colossus would fight to the death, concentrating the essence of Grigori Rasputin into one of them, allowing for his reincarnation and restore his own failing powers.

The Pulse: House of M Special Edition (2005)
Mister Sinister is revealed to be active in the altered 'House of M' reality during HOUSE OF M.

Cable & Deadpool #16 (2005)
Deadpool locates the missing Cable in the Mister Sinister's clutches in the transformed 'House of M' reality, though he's been transformed to an infant state during ENEMA OF THE STATE.

Following the death of Wolverine, Mister Sinister tries to examine his body only to be opposed by the 'Wolverines' (a team made up of mutants with close ties to Wolverine); Sinister is defended by the surviving Weapon X test subjects who think he may be able to help save them from degeneration; when the X-Men destroy his headquarters, Mister Sinister retaliates by sending an army of Daken clones against the Wolverines; Sinister faces death once again when he has a showdown with Ogun.
While I don't have any plans to carry on with reading orders after 2015's SECRET WARS, life goes on for Mister Sinister. Here are some stories of note:

Mister Sinister works to make mutants immune to Terrigenesis following the release of the Inhumans' Terrigen Mists across the planet; Sinister captures three X-Men for experimentation and unsuccessfully uses a monstrous Cyclops Clone to defend himself.

Monsters Unleashed #1-6 (2017)
First appearance of the New Intelligencia; Mister Sinister becomes a member of the New Intelligencia alongside the Awesome Android, Leader, Mad Thinker and MODOK 2.0; the group attempt to manipulate the Terrigen-powered Kid Kaiju for their own needs.
Secret Warriors #8-11 (2018)
The Secret Warriors learn Mister Sinister and the Dark Beast have been kidnapping Inhuman children during MARVEL LEGACY.

Hunt for Wolverine: The Adamantium Agenda #2-4 (2018)
One of Mister Sinister's former allies stoles Wolverine's DNA samples from him to auction them off; Sinister's entire DNA database is discovered by the Avengers during HUNT FOR WOLVERINE.
