I'm no expert on Darkhawk. I think I owned about four or five issues of his series in total and I'm not sure I even read them all. But he's certainly been one of the most-requested characters for me to cover in a reading order.
Debuting in the early '90s, Chris Powell discovered an amulet that transferred his consciousness into the body of Darkhawk - a suit of armour with numerous battle features. In the years that followed, Chris would learn some of the secrets of Darkhawk's origins and become a reserve member of both the New Warriors and the Avengers.
I've included all of Darkhawk's appearances from the time of his first solo series - along with every other appearance, as per usual for these things - but I'm not sure which are the better stories. So, the minor appearances and cameos are includes in grey.
MCG Notes:
- Issue listings in blue & black: The must-read Darkhawk stories from this time period, along with any key related stories and often-forgotten tales that are worth a read.
- Issue listings in grey: Part of Darkhawk's chronology, cameo appearances or stories of note that non-essential or no longer considered 'required reading'.
- Chronology: Every appearance of Darkhawk from this period is included in chronological order - mapping out his timeline rather than just the order the issues were released.
