HAWKEYE READING ORDER: Clint & Kate (2012-2013)

One of the most lauded Hawkeye storylines in Clint Barton's lengthy history is the run by Matt Fraction & David Aja in a series he shares with Kate Bishop - the Hawkeye of the Young Avengers. Honestly, if you only read that series, you're winning! Pick up Hawkeye #1-22 and Hawkeye Annual #1 for what's considered by many to be the best of the best. Due to them both sharing the spotlight in that series, this entry focuses on their shared continuity from 2012-2013.

Kate's return to the Young Avengers takes place during that very run and you can't go far wrong by delving into that series, too, as Loki calls upon her and a number of other teenage heroes to fight a foe the regular Avengers are too old to face!

MCG Notes:
  • Issue listings in blue & black: The must-read Clint Barton & Kate Bishop stories from this time period, along with any key related stories and often-forgotten tales that are worth a read.
  • Issue listings in grey: Part of the Hawkeyes' chronology, cameo appearances or stories of note that are non-essential or no longer considered 'required reading'.
  • Chronology: Every appearance of the Clint & Kate from this period is included in chronological order, mapping out their timeline rather than just the order the issues were released.
  • Timing: While the 'Hawkeye' series from this era runs from 2012 to 2015, the issues take place over a shorter period within the Marvel timeline, so another 'Hawkeye Reading Order' covering 2013-2015 is still to come!
  • Spoilers: The issue/story overviews may include spoilers, so be warned!

MCG Note: I hope to add these reading orders will be added to the Marvel Comics Guide in the not-too distant future...
