CAPTAIN MARVEL READING ORDER: Monica Rambeau (1982-1994)

I started reading Marvel comics with 1984's SECRET WARS, so Monica Rambeau has always been Captain Marvel to me. She picked up the mantle that had previously been carried by the Kree hero Mar-Vell until his death in 1982. It seems Marvel didn't want to leave the trademark hanging for too long, so Monica came along later than same year to take on the name, though her costume and light/energy powers had nothing to with the original.

While others have since taken the name (most notably Genis-Vell who took it from her by force), Monica Rambeau has continued to operate in the mainstream Marvel Universe under different identities. I'll cover these later Captain Marvels and Monica's time as both Photon and Pulsar in later reading orders.

With the appearance of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Monica Rambeau in the current 'WandaVision' TV series, is there a chance she might pick the Captain Marvel identity up again in the comics? Or perhaps the MCU might one day feature her as Captain Marvel...
