MS MARVEL READING ORDER: Carol Danvers (2005-2008)

She's been the Kree-powered Ms Marvel, the cosmic-powered Binary and the alcoholic Warbird. Now Carol Danvers is back to being Ms Marvel again. And she's about to get a taste of what it's like to be the best of the best...

As always, I'd like to thank the guys over at the Marvel Chronology Project which I've used as a basis and then worked out my own version of the Marvel Universe continuity.

MCG Notes:
  • Issue listings in blue & black: The must-read Ms Marvel stories from this time period, along with any key related stories and often-forgotten tales that are worth a read.
  • Issue listings in grey: Part of tMs Marvel's chronology, cameo appearances or stories of note that are non-essential or no longer considered 'required reading'.
  • Chronology: Every appearance of tMs Marvel from this period is included in chronological order, mapping out their timeline rather than just the order the issues were released.

  1. Thanks for this! I’ve been working my way through all the Carol Danvers comics on the Marvel Unlimited app, but on the app, when you select Carol, it’s either out of order, doesn’t contain Carol, or books (like the Ms Marvel annual) are not even mentioned! So thank you!

    2. I do love the Marvel Unlimited app, but there are wayyyy too many titles and relaunches and whatnot for all but the most obsessive comic geek to be able to keep track!
Glad you're finding this useful, Steph, and I'll be running Carol's history with one more Ms Marvel post and another summing up her adventures as Captain Marvel up until 2015. Not sure when these will be as I'm running loads of character reading orders over the next few months which will star a whole host of solo characters, teams, alternate universes, licensed characters and more! I'll try to get the next Ms Marvel one done by the end of the summer... I hope!

While the Ms Marvel Reading Orders seem to be less popular than other characters, if you're asking for it I should really follow that up!

Thanks for checking out the site. Glad it's useful!

  4. Cheers, Anonymous! I'll be moving all of the content from this site over to the new OmniverseComics.Guide site in due course - including this entry - then I'll be adding the rest of Carol's history over there!
And thanks so much for the kind words! The encouragement is very welcome!
