LAST STAND AT GROUND ZERO (1996)
The Ultraverse: a nice place to visit, but you wouldn't want to spend more than 12 issues there. So it's time the characters on loan from the Marvel Universe came home...
The Black Knight has been trapped on the alternate Earth known as the Ultraverse (Earth-93060) for some time. After a run-in with an alternate future version of their team, Ultraforce have been attempting to figure out the reason for their collective memory loss and the damage caused to their headquarters. During the clean-up, the Black Knight accidentally unleashes Specimen 13 from containment. Specimen 13 knocks Topaz out leaving just the Black Knight to face him alone...
The Exiles formed when they were collectively blamed for the destruction of one third of Manhattan and have been on the run ever since. Now, they're back in New York and looking to resolve the mystery once and for all.  But their arrival is noticed by a number of Ultras (the term for 'superhumans' in the Ultraverse) who try to claim the bounty on their heads. Maxis arrives and mashes up the Ultras, then the Exiles themselves.
Prototype and Prime rush to the Black Knight's aid. During the conflict, Cromwell reveals he's Specimen 13' brother and convinces the creature to return to stasis. The team are almost immediately summoned to New York to stop Maxis...
Maxis proves to be a struggle for Ultraforce to defeat. They only manage him by dropping a building on him. When they smoke clears, they're faced with a huge armada from the Tulkan Fleet...
Ultraforce, the Exiles, Siren and other Ultras team up against the Tulkan Fleet who are revealed to have been behind the destruction of Manhattan. Maxis recovers and poses an additional threat until the Tulkan Fleet leader reveals his home planet had been destroyed. The Ultras convince Maxis to join forces with them against the Tulkan Fleet. Damage to the fleet forces them to return home for repairs. In the aftermath, Maxis opens a portal back to the Marvel Universe (Earth-616) and sends the Black Knight, Siena Blaze and Reaper home.
