Inside the Heart of Darkness, the Mandarin is reminded of all his past failures. The 'organic' part of the virus allows the 'techno' bit to sneak past the Mandarin's anti-technology field, causing him to age rapidly. The Heart of Darkness abandons the Mandarin and leaves Earth. In the aftermath, Tony Stark invites Suzi Endo to America, but she decides to stay in Hong Kong and help rebuild. Tony promises Rhodey he'll repair his army now that they're buddies again. The Mandarin (whose youth appears to have been restored) immediately finds himself a job as a cleaner. A few weeks later, Tony considers hitting the bottle again...
