LOKI READING ORDER: Mistress of Mischief (2008-2010)

Living up to his destiny, Loki brought about Ragnarok and the destruction of fabled Asgard (during AVENGERS DISASSEMBLED). But the gods couldn't stay away forever and Thor finds a way back, recreating Asgard as a floating city above Broxton, Oklahoma. Discovering the gods are living in the souls of humans, Thor goes about restoring them to their true selves. And you can't have Asgard without Loki.

Returning with a very different look, Loki continues to manipulate those around her despite protesting she's changed. It's not long before she seeks to confuse Balder, strike up a deal with Doctor Doom and join Norman Osborn's villainous Cabal. But this version of Loki ends up biting off more than he/she can chew...

First appearance of Kelda; following the fall of Asgard, Loki is reborn in female form; Thor decides to give the reborn Loki a chance to prove herself an ally to Asgard; Loki immediately strikes up a partnership with Doctor Doom; Odin reveals the real reason why he adopted Loki; Loki manipulates Balder; it's hinted that Loki has been reborn in the body intended for Sif.

Loki subtly coerces the Asgardians into thinking Beta Ray Bill is a Skrull during SECRET INVASION.

Loki cameo; Norman Osborn checks in with Loki and learns the new Enchantress is a human who's been tricked by Loki into believing she's an Asgardian during DARK REIGN.
Mighty Avengers #21-23 (2009)
First appearance of Hank Pym's Mighty Avengers; first appearance of Loki as the Scarlet Witch; disguised as the Scarlet Witch, Loki manipulates a band of Avengers into coming together to prevent Modred the Mystic from summoning Chthon during DARK REIGN / EARTH'S MIGHTIEST.

Planet Skaar Prologue #1 (2009)
Loki cameo; Loki observes Skaar from afar during PLANET SKAAR.

Thor #11-12 (2009)
First appearance of the Inferno Club; first appearance of Loki as Bor; with help from her daughter, Hela, Loki is transformed back to his male form and goes back in time where he encounters his younger self and brings about the death of Odin's father, Bor; back in female form in the present day, Hela confirms Loki is indeed in Sif's body during DIVERSIONS & MISDIRECTIONS.
Thor: God-Size #1 (2009)
Thor, Loki and Balder investigate why they have no memory of Skurge the Executioner and why he wan't reborn along with the rest of the Asgardians.

Dark Reign: The Cabal #1[5/5] (2009)
Loki has dinner with Doctor Doom to discuss their partnership and the possibility of moving Asgard to Latveria during DARK REIGN / DIVERSIONS & MISDIRECTIONS.
Thor #600[1/8]-601 (2009)
Loki summons Bor and pits him against Thor; not realising who he's facing, Thor's battle with Thor ends in disaster; Loki arranges for Asgard to move from Broxton to Latveria; Loki finally reveals to Thor that she's in Sif's body and that Sif is dying; Sif is restored and Loki returns ot his male form during DIVERSIONS & MISDIRECTIONS.

Dark Reign: The Hood #2 (2009)
Loki cameo; Loki attends a meeting with the rest of the Cabal during DARK REIGN.

Mighty Avengers #24 (2009)
Disguising herself as the 'Scarlet WItch' once again, Loki ensures the continuation of Hank Pym's Mighty Avengers to encourage the growth of mistrusts in Norman Osborn within the Cabal during DARK REIGN.

Loki cameo; hoping to gain an ally in the Hood, Loki offers him another shot at power; Loki attends an uncomfortable Cabal meeting and watches Norman Osborn show signs he's losing control during DARK REIGN.
Mighty Avengers #27-29 (2009)
First appearance of the People's Defense Force (including Lady of Ten Suns & Scientific Beast), the Unspoken and the Infinite Avengers Mansion; steered by the 'Scarlet WItch', the Mighty Avengers learn of the existence of the Unspoken, a former king of the Inhumans so reviled he was written out of history; the various Avengers teams join forces against the 'Scarlet Witch' and prove she's not who she says she is during DARK REIGN.

Avengers: The Initiative #31 (2009)
Loki cameo; in male form, Loki attends a Cabal meeting which introduces the Taskmaster as a new member during SIEGE.

Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Utopia #1 (2009)
Loki cameo; in male form, Loki stands beside Doctor Doom as they watch anti-mutant sentiment build in San Francisco during UTOPIA.

Mighty Avengers #32-33 (2010)
In his continued efforts to push Norman Osborn over the edge, Loki releases the Absorbing Man from Project PEGASUS; this results in Osborn's Dark Avengers clashing with the Mighty Avengers; Hank Pym finally learns who's been manipulating the Mighty Avengers all this time during DARK REIGN.
Mighty Avengers #34 (2010)
The Mighty Avengers capture Loki n the hope of learning the whereabouts of the real Scarlet Witch; the team's treatment of Loki enrages Thor who briefly battles the Mighty Avengers; when calm is restored, Hank Pym makes Loki an offer to join the Mighty Avengers which angers the rest of the team enough to cause them to disband completely during SIEGE.

Wolverine vs Thor #3 (2009, digital comic)
Loki is revealed to be the one who's coerced Wolverine into fighting Thor.
