1975-1989: Fist of Khonshu

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #1-3 (1989)

First appearance of Chloe Tran; Raul Bushman returns kidnapping Martine Alraune; after a team-up with Spider-Man, Moon Knight follows Bushman to Africa to rescue Martine.

Punisher Annual #2[1/4] (1989)

The Punisher and Moon Knight join forces to investigate Viper's plot to turn homeless people into Serpent Men during ATLANTIS ATTACKS.

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #4-7 (1989)

First appearance of Midnight/Jeffrey Wilde; the young Midnight confronts Moon Knight, blaming him for the death of his father, the Midnight Man; Midnight decides he'll become Moon Knight's sidekick, forcing his help upon him and Brother Voodoo when face Doctor Friday's zombies.

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #8-10 (1989-1990)

First appearance of Ringer/Keith Kraft; while the heroes of New York are busy dealing with random villain attacks, Flag-Smasher and ULTIMATUM initiatie a plan to destroy the world's borders; Moon Knight teams up with the Punisher, but begins to question the difference his new allie and his enemies; Frenchie is seriously injured whole Moon Knight battles rampaging costumed criminals during ACTS OF VENGEANCE.

Mark Spector: Moon Knight #11-18 (1990)

The DEA agent Arsenal recruits Moon Knight to help him end Bushman's occupation of Burunda; Moon Knight turns against Arsenal when he learns he's actually a mercenary; Silver Sable and the Wild Pack hunt down Marc Spector so he can stand trial for his actions in his time as a mercenary; Midnight comes to the rescue when they discover the Secret Empire have a hand in the outcome of the trial.

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #19-31 (1990-1991)

First appearance of Lynn Church, the Cult of Khonshu/Knights of the Moon and the Praetorian Brotherhood; Moon Knight joins forces with Spider-Man and the Punisher against the new Secret Empire when Midnight tries take on more than he can handle; Moon Knight pursues the Secret Empire alone to avenge Midnight and finds out who was really behind his trial; Moon Knight and Ghost Rider face the Knights of the Moon; ex-nun-turned-vigilante Stained Glass Scarlet starts targeting Moon Knight's friends as she works her way towards killing him.

First appearance of the Chain Gang; still reeling from the battle with Stained Glass Scarlet, Moon Knight helps other heroes fight the corpse of Eon during THE INFINITY GAUNTLET.

Moon Knight #31-33 (1991)

The Hobgoblin targets mercenaries for death, including his old acquaintance Marc Spector; Spider-Man aids Moon Knight in fending off the Hobgoblin as the former-mercenary struggles to control his demonic side.

Amazing Spider-Man #354-358 (1991-1992)

The Punisher, Spider-Man and Darkhawk discover Midnight is still alive, having been turned into a cyborg and driven mad; Moon Knight joins the fight against Midnight and the Secret Empire when he takes over the group; Nova, Silhouette and Night Thrasher of the New Warriors also join the fight against Midnight.

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #34 (1992)

Frenchie is given his shot at revenge in a grudge match with Killer Shrike.

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #35-38 (1992)

First appearance of the Shadow Cabinet (Psycho/Peter Slate, Sheriff/Jaime Vasquez & Sigmund/Robert Plesko) and the Shadowkeep; first appearance of Randall Spector as Shadowknight; first full appearance of the Cult of Khonshu; Randall Spector returns, allied with Princess Nepthys and the Cult of Khonshu; the Punisher sides with Moon Knight again in order to bring about Randall's ultimate defeat; Moon Knight sets up a network of agents and informants, calling them the Shadow Cabinet.

First appearance of Donna Kraft, Cover Girl/Zena Z, Don G/Paolo Santacosta, Fingers/Thomas Haney, Penny Annie/Colleen Shore, Scout/Kim Hing & Stash/Rich Conners; Doctor Doom manipulates Moon Knight into obtaining certain Latverian artefacts for him; Moon Knight discovers his body is mutating during GOBLIN KNIGHT.
